Fitness After Stroke

This article from outlines the importance of exercise after a stroke. There is evidence that exercise improves stroke recovery by controlling weight, controlling high blood pressure and fighting depression. The article also outlines that "sitting around after having a stroke is not helpful". If you or someone you know has suffered a stroke, consider joining the Fitness After Stroke class offered here at Active Living Fitness Club.

The class is offered two times per week and is instructed by a registered physiotherapist. Each class consists of a proper warm up, cool down and exercises that challenge endurance, balance and strength.
